The study of PAINthings

With ARTery we investigate how we can express in art what we feel, desire, dream and think. We share our reality with the public through re-creation of well-known and lesser-known works of art.

A core goal of VetitusProductions is breaking taboos and crushing stigmas. ARTery is our first art project to show how we approach this, and to show ourselves to you.

As a viewer, we want you to share in the emotions that we experience in kink ànd in art. We want our images to make you feel: disgust, envy, powerlessness, awe, emotion, stillness. Come closer. Feel it. We want to show who we are.

The works of art we choose are works that evoke something in us. Works with a story, an emotion. One artwork is chosen because Saded can't stop talking about it, it simply wasn't an option for her not to do this one. The following work is one that affected all of us in a specific way. Another artwork just had to be done because it is Bas's absolute favorite.

We choose based on gut. On emotion. From sensing that it fits with the rest, with the series, with us.

After that, we choose which misery fits with what we feel in the painting. Something that matches with how we interpret the artist's intention and emotion, and then take that one step further. We investigate where it hurts, where it lives, where it bleeds. We examine the pain-things, and this is our vision.
